Inspector Chen Series, Qiu Xiaolong

I designed the updated book covers for Qiu Xiaolong’s Inspector Chen series a while ago.

In the latest news – a radio adaptation of this series has started. The first episode is an adaptation of Death of a Red Heroine, was broadcasted on Saturday 5th December on BBC Radio 4, 2.30-4pm. Episodes two and three are dramatisations of the second and third books, A Loyal Character Dancer and When Red Is Black.

I artworked The Alice Quentin Collection ebook bundle, using the Crossbones Yard front cover. I have brightened up the image, updated the typography and amended the layout to match the newer series style.

Confessions, Kanae Minato

“Yuko Moriguchi is quitting her job as a teacher. On her last day she tells her students a story. The death of her daughter on school grounds was no accident, she tells them. Her child was killed, and she knows who the murderers are. They’re sitting in the room with her, and she’s not done with them yet.”

I designed the PB cover for the Japanese thriller, Confessions last year. The main themes/tones/emotions of the book are: revenge, suspicion and twists galore.
