The finished book is lovely – printed directly onto the fine linen, clear foil and individual short story headers also beautifully drawn by Aitch.
A bit late but here is the update of my cover designs from bookshop browsing in August. First up is Summer at Hope Meadows paperback, the final cover is complete with red foil, spot UV and emboss.
The Waking Land hardback is part of the Science Fiction & Fantasy category. Special finishes include an intricate blind spot UV of magical plants growing.
This CATS book is out at the end of August. The beautiful, mysterious and wise cat is illustrated by the amazing and lovely Sandra Dieckmann. I love the final product with shimmering gold foil speckled throughout the background as well as the title.
Here is another young adult fantasy trilogy that I’ve been working on has had a cover reveal!
The brief was to create a beautiful and lush image with filtered lights and rich colours. The main character is an 18 year old girl who has the magical ability to speak to the tree and rocks with her hands, so it is important to convey a dark forest with this sense of overgrowing greenery.
