I went books shopping and spotted in the Foyle’s window display These Dividing Walls hardback I designed.
It was also a part of the new titles special promotion display inside the store.
Harmless Like You paperback makes an appearance.
The hardback is also a part of the front of store display.
I have designed a new cover for the paperback edition of Harmless Like You. I am really pleased with the outcome and the book is an amazing read. In the past 1960s narrative, a Japanese girl has an ambition to be an artist, in the present day narrative her son is dealing with his feelings from his mother’s abandonment. I love how each chapter beginning, beautifully describes a different colour of paint that sets a particular mood. You can read examples of this on my Quotes page.
I was sent an email with a link to this lovely image below by illustrator Lizzy Stewart. Her interpretation of my Harmless Like You HB cover design is on the top row.
This year’s conference was 1940s themed. (Hodder publishes Everyone Brave is Forgiven by Chris Cleave.)
